The misspelling of the bridge's name "is an artful idiosyncrasy on the part of the artist," USPS spokeswoman Frances Frazier told The Virtual Stamp Club. "In the context of the civil rights stamps, where the overall selections reflect highly personal interpretations of these symbolic events, these kinds of artistic expressions are entirely appropriate.
