The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.
Most stamp collectors learn something about geography through their stamps, but Jay Bigalke
has taken it a step further.
<"This will be my 62nd first day ceremony, and I've attended ceremonies in 24 of the 50
states." RUNS :07>
We found the University of Wisconsin senior recently in Hawaii, where the launch ceremony
for the Lunar New Year stamps was held.
<"This is the second trip that I've made to Hawaii. I was here exactly one year ago for the
Pacific coral Reefs stamps." RUNS :06>
This year could take him further still.
<"There's a possibility of going to an event in Puerto Rico this summer, and Sweden in the
fall." RUNS :07>
...when the Greta Garbo stamp is issued there and in the U-S.
Even if it's helped extend his time in school by a year, attending the ceremonies has been
good training, he says.
<"I hope to become the Postmaster General some day." RUNS :03>
