The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries. 

Here it is early spring and the Postal Service has plans to reissue the Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, 
Happy Birthday and Eid stamps with the same designs at the new thirty-nine cent rate...but 
nothing for Cinco de Mayo. There WAS such a stamp a few years ago, but Postal Service stamps 
chief Dave Failor says it didn't sell.

"That was well before my time, but my understanding is there just really wasn't much demand 
for the Cinco de Mayo stamp."

And apparently there IS for Eid, the Muslim holiday. Muslim-American groups pushed its sales. 
Ironically, that stamp was first issued ten days before September 11th, and there have been 
calls to withdraw it, but Failor says he doesn't get much flak about it.

"I know that there's some press and there's some websites and once in awhile I get an e-mail 
asking why we would honor a Muslim holiday, but that's part of our holiday series, and, you 
know, my feeling is if you don't like that stamp, then don't buy it. There's plenty of other
stamps that you can buy."
