Britain boasts its 1998 Christmas stamps are blessed by angels. "The five
richly-coloured designs each carry a picture of an angel gazing down and
bathed in light." They were designed by "Irene von Treskow, who is a
curate in the Anglican church and a former art director of Saatchi and
Saatchi," the huge international advertising agency. |
These Wreaths stamps were originally scheduled for this year by the US Postal Service, but weren't needed, and the stamps weren't issued until this year.
Canada's 1998 Christmas stamps feature sculpted wooden angels. Many
celebrants of Christmas place an angel on the top of their Christmas tree
instead of a star.
