Who Ya Gonna Call?

The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

If you've got a question about stamp collecting, and don't know someone who can help you,
there are a number of resources easily available.

One of the best is Ask-Phil-dot-org, a project of the Collectors Club of Chicago. "Phil"
is short for Philately, the fancy word for stamp collecting. Chances are good your
question has already been answered on the site, and if not, well, you can Ask Phil.

The American Philatelic Research Library is the largest stamp collecting public library
in the U-S. Its card catalogue is online at stamp-library-dot-org. You can stop in at
State College, Pennsylvania, or request photocopies for a fee, even if you're not a member.
The A-P-R-L also will lend materials via the Inter-library Loan System. Ask your local
public library to make the request for you. There are fees for the service.

If the Internet isn't an option, try the book Stamp Collecting for Dummies, available in
many bookstores.

And that's stamp collecting this week.

I'm Lloyd de Vries, CBS News.
