Selling Stamps on eBay

The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries. 

The Internet has brought something of a renaissance to stamp dealing, and much of the credit 
goes to eBay.

Senior Category Manager Lia Theologides-Mukhar says the first step for sellers is to read 
the rules.

"Our guidelines were developed by the APS, the American Philatelic Society. And anyone who's 
looking to buy or sell stamps on eBay should really look to read those guidelines."

When you do place a listing, the title is extremely important, Theologides Mukhar says. 
Don't waste it.

"A lot of times on eBay people are saying 'Wow!' and 'Look!' and 'Fabulous!' and to us, we 
try and tell people 'That's a waste of your space.'"

There's one important difference for listing stamps on eBay.

"In stamps, we recommend that people use a scanner and not a digital camera."

On any given day, there are HUNDREDS of thousands of stamps listed on eBay, so you want to 
make YOUR listings look as good as possible.
