The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries

Next Thursday, the Postal Service issues its stamps
representing the 1920s.  The 15 subjects include Babe Ruth,
Flappers Dance the Charleston, Women's Suffrage, Prohibition,
Jazz and Radio Entertainment.  At the same time, the voting
for the 1960s subjects is wrapping up: You can choose up
to three in each of five categories.  

You can vote on the Internet or with a form found in your
post office. The top two vote-getters in each category will
get stamps, plus five other subjects that do well in the
voting

But the number of choices within each category varies: There
are only 4 in Sports, for example, but eight in Arts and
Entertainment....so the chances are better for the sports
subjects than for those in other categories.

Some of the choices overlap: The Struggle for Civil Rights
and Martin Luther King Junior's "I Have A Dream" speech,
Americans Demonstrate and the Vietnam War are all in
"People and Events." Remember, you can only vote for 3.
