It's show time!


The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries


November is one of the busiest months for stamp shows, with 
at least one major show each weekend -- yes, even 
Thanksgiving weekend.


Next weekend is the 50th and final Florex in Orlando. It'll 
feature a large exhibition, and meetings of groups that 
specialize in Switzerland and Cuba.


The next weekend is VAPEX, in Virginia Beach, one of the 
best shows on the circuit. It always has a good youth area. 


The major show the third weekend is in New York City, the 
Mega-Event co-sponsored by the Postal Service, American 
Stamp Dealers Association and the American Philatelic 
Society. The Celebrate the Century 1970s stamps will be 
issued on the first of the four days.


All of the shows I've mentioned are free. There are several 
big commercial shows Thanksgiving weekend, some of which 
charge admission, and there are many other smaller shows
